4The lord said to
me, 5 I
choose you before I gave you life and before you where born I selected you to
be a prophet to the nations. Jeremiah 1:4-5 (GNB).
The ultimate goal of a man is to show glory of
God, it is the reason for everything that exists and its creation are expected
to reveal the creator’s glory. Jesus did by fulfilling his purpose on earth and
we are meant to recognize, honour, declare, praise, reflect and live for his
glory, and one of the things we do to bring God’s glory is being in place of
our ordination as a prophet..
Connection
The word Prophet came
from the Greek word “Profetes” meaning advocate and in the Hebrews word
“Navi” meaning fruit of the lips which emphasizes the prophet roles as a
speaker, they are claimed to have been contacted by the supernatural or the
divine and to speak for them. They are known to have a role to play in the
society and promote change due to their messages and actions. God expresses his
wills and actions in many ways through them.
Why a
prophet?
God long ago has planned
what we should live our life for to make contributions, never to consume but to provide, never to destroy but to
build, never to take from life but to add to life on the earth, to save the dying
souls. Heal the sick and deliver the oppressed.
Excuses
No one is left alone to
give excuses; Jeremiah did in today references by saying he was too young but
God told him to go and he promised to be with him. Today, many complained of
personal wishes; worry about life, health or future; wounds from rape, assault,
robbery or jilted relationship; background or your weakness. But that mustn’t
stop you..
Tools
The tools God has designed to equip
us to accomplish these tasks are what we known as our Potential, our seed of
greatness, your gifts, talents, abilities, heartbeat, experiences in life and
skills including the spiritual gifts given to the believers. All these matter
to God and they are equally important. God never waste anything and he wouldn’t
give you unless he intended to use them for his glory.
How are
you using yours?
There are many dying
homes, communities, lives and problems that need instant solutions and the
solutions that are needed lie inside you, I mean you that are reading. You got
a cooking abilities while many homes crumbled due to the wife inability to cook
well and God may deposited such ability in you to create a platform to develop
wives at home. Listed at the back of this newsletter are abilities that are
most common among us today meant to save, heal and deliver this
generation. Think of what those tools would have done if you have sharpened and
develop them well. Look at what my writing ability is doing to you now, it is
awaking you to responsibility and also my teaching and speaking abilities have
helped many lives from children and teens to youths and adults toward
development while my analyzing and researching abilities are showing you how
important you are.
What
next?
There is no time to
waste; tomorrow syndrome is a deadly syndrome. Accept, enjoy and develop them.
But remember, connecting to your true source Jesus Christ with Holy
Spirit help will retrace you back to the right path and open your eyes to
discover the problems you are meant to solve with your abilities. We own
different message with these tools and we aren’t to compare ourselves with
other and never give in to pride. Train, develop and sharpen them for God’s
glory and get ready for eternal rewards.
Amb.
